Amsale

Amsale Aberra became a couture bridal designer quite by accident. In 1985, Amsale was planning her wedding and was in search of the perfect dress that was simple yet refined without a lot of showy extravagance that is often incorporated in many wedding gowns. She began designing her own clothes in college while she was studying art at the University of Massachusetts for both enjoyment and necessity as she lacked the money to go and buy new clothes. After graduation, Amsale moved to New York City and studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and started work as a design assistant after graduation. Two years after graduating from FIT, Amsale started designing and selling her own weddings gowns that have sophisticated and understated designs. With a sketch-pad full of timeless and sophisticated designs, Amsale began designing, crafting, and selling her wedding gowns from her studio apartment in NYC. In the intervening decades, Amsale has become synonymous with sophisticated and timeless elegance.
